A Little About Me

I’m Nazeeha.

I live near Wetherby, West Yorkshire with my husband and our two beautiful little boys.

I work with families who want to honour the beauty of birth and the wild alchemy of parenthood.

My Story

A PhD in Neurogenomics by background, I worked a busy schedule as a Management Consultant for many years in London before moving to Munich, Germany, with my husband.

Being in a non-english speaking country, with little support from family and friends, I found my pregnancy and postpartum experiences amazing and transformative, but also extremely lonely, intense and exhausting.

One miscarriage, one rainbow baby and one COVID baby later, we have returned to my hometown. I chose to ditch my corporate job and retrain as a doula because I want to support families through one of the most beautiful, and overwhelming, times in their lives.

The vision of Mother Natured is to support families holistically by offering a range of hands-on services designed to help new parents thrive, with a focus on providing support that is grounded in the deep wisdom of ancient postpartum practices.

I’m here to meet you on an emotional level to encourage, guide and nurture your family after birth.

A Few of My Favourite Things…

Food

I was never a foodie until I met my husband…. his love of cooking (and eating) is contagious!

Travel

New landscapes, new cultures, new cuisines. The whole world is out there to explore and discover…. although I’m pretty sure my soul belongs in Italy!

Art

Whether it’s sketching, snapping photos, or painting my kids’ faces, I try to find an outlet for my creativity every day - it keeps me sane.

“In the sheltered simplicity of the first days after a baby is born, one sees again the magical closed circle; the miraculous sense of two people existing only for each other.”

About the Logo

Circles have always been symbolic of magic and spirituality. Carl Jung, the Swiss psychiatrist, was famously fascinated by them; he recognised that the urge to draw circles often arises during moments of intense personal growth, signalling that a profound re-balancing process is underway in the psyche. Through this shape, we find peace, as well as the drive to go further.

Enso (formally spelled ensō) is a sacred symbol in Zen Buddhism. The ensō is drawn in one continuous brush stroke, with only one chance to perform it to completion; therefore it is a manifestation of the artist at the moment of creation and the acceptance of our innermost self. It symbolises many things: connection, the circle of life, the beauty in imperfection, and the art of letting go of expectations.

Therefore for me, the ensō is a fitting representation of parenthood – one of life’s biggest lessons in mindfulness and personal growth.
